LAKESHORE NIGHTS
The Lakeshore
Nights title song recollects a fresh sea breeze
at the edge of Lake Michigan, cooling the shoreline and bringing on the night. Runners, bikes,
blades, cars, all follow their trails as twilight approaches. It
is most beautiful when moving along the shoreline in the evening
breeze.
There were many hot summer nights during
the writing of these songs. Following Short Stories release
a year earlier, there was plenty of new energy, so I began
assembling these
guitar and synthesizer recordings. The energy kept pouring, and
the work continued into the fall. Much of it was written in a
small but sunny
apartment by the lake. Breezy summer nights. That cool feeling found its way into the music and
the title song. This is a continuation of my
instrumental guitar and synthesizer work in
Cruising
Lane and
Short
Stories.
LAKESHORE
NIGHTS.
I hope you like this new music.
